Highlighting Innovation, Growth, and Environmental Leadership
Infinite Harvest Technologies, a pioneering leader in sustainable AgriFood waste solutions, marked 2024 as a landmark year of innovation, growth, and industry recognition, and is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down throughout 2025. Partnering with organizations such as the Vineland Research & Innovation Centre and Bioenterprise, alongside incubation hubs and funding agencies, Infinite Harvest has made significant strides advancing its insect bio-digestion technology to address pressing environmental challenges.
Successful Commercial Pilot with Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers
One of Infinite Harvest’s primary milestones was completing a commercial pilot project for the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers association at Vineland Research & Innovation Centre, partially funded by the Greenhouse Technology Network. This pilot validated the scalability and practical impact of Infinite Harvest’s solutions in greenhouse vegetable waste management, an important agribusiness sector in Ontario.
Intellectual Property Growth: Patents and Trademarks
Infinite Harvest filed one patent and registered two trademarks, utilizing services from the ElevateIP, IPAssist, and IPON programs. These steps strengthen the protection of their innovative technology and brand presence in the agritech industry.
Strong Financial Backing: Pre-Seed Investment Closed
The company successfully closed a $460,000 pre-seed investment round with support from prominent angel investors and venture capital funds, including Blue Ocean Angels, Venture Niagara, and GSA Ventures. The round was facilitated by key innovation hubs, namely Niagara Falls Innovation Hub and Global Startups, emphasizing community-driven startup support.
Operational Enhancements: Doubling Biodigestion Efficiency and Reducing Labour
The organization doubled its unit waste processing capacity from 10 to 20 tonnes per unit monthly, reduced insect biodigestion cycle time from 17 to 10 days, cut service labor by 50%, and enhanced its remote monitoring systems. The company also scaled its total waste biodigestion capabilities by creating a global supply chain for neonates (insect larvae), leveraging strategic partnerships for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Environmental Impact: 80% COâ‚‚e Reduction Over Traditional Methods
Supported by IRAP and IdeaFund grants, Infinite Harvest developed a Remote Monitoring Platform in collaboration with Leaf Automation and conducted a carbon lifecycle analysis with Mohawk College’s Centre for Climate Change. Results showed an 80% reduction in CO₂ equivalent emissions compared to landfilling and composting, demonstrating groundbreaking environmental benefits.
