The Magnificent Women’s Market (MWM) celebrated a vibrant grand re-opening at its brand new location, 4525 Queen Street in Niagara Falls, on April 3rd, 2025. The afternoon event, held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, marked a significant milestone for the community, bringing together local leaders, entrepreneurs, and supporters to champion the next generation of women-owned businesses.
A Hub for Women-Owned Businesses
The new MWM space is more than a retail venue—it’s a dynamic incubator for women entrepreneurs. Five new women-owned businesses have set up shop in this creative, supportive environment, each mentored through the Niagara Falls Innovation Hub’s entrepreneurship program. The market also introduced a cozy new café, enhancing the shopping experience and offering a welcoming spot for community connection.
A Celebration of Community and Empowerment
The grand re-opening was filled with energy and excitement. Attendees enjoyed fresh coffee, sweet treats from local favourite Moodie’s Bakery, and the opportunity to meet the inspiring women behind the market’s latest cohort of businesses. The official ribbon cutting was led by Mayor Jim Diodati, whose remarks underscored the importance of spaces like MWM in empowering women-identifying entrepreneurs and fostering local economic growth.
The event drew an impressive crowd, including City Councillors Vince, Peter, Mona, Ruth Ann, Mike, and Tony, Regional Councillor Joyce, and key sponsors such as Chris Walker (Meridian Credit Union), Jackie Russell (Iva’s Granddaughters), Beth Macdonald (Niagara Planning Group), and representatives from the Niagara Parks Commission. Their presence and support highlighted the collective commitment to uplifting women in business.
